Below is a summary of our beliefs at MBC.

LOVE is the greatest commandment upon which all others are based

Matthew 22:35–40

THE BIBLE is the inerrant, infallible, and verbally inspired by God. This means the Bible is without error and divinely inspired by God Himself. We believe that God used man to write the Bible through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Simply put, God is the author, man was the pen used to write the words of God.

Psalm 119:160, 2 Timothy 3:16-17

GOD is the creator of all. He is the personal, triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, equal in divine perfection.

Genesis 1, Psalm 139, Matthew 28:19

SATAN is a fallen angel, the archenemy of God and man,
the unholy god of this world
and his destiny is the lake of fire.

Isaiah 14:12–15, 2 Timothy 2:26Revelation 20:11-15

JESUS was born of a virgin. He live a sinless life. Jesus is both fully God and fully man. His sufferings and death were substitutionary for all mankind, but only applies to those who believe in Jesus Christ. He died, was buried, and physically arose from the grave on the third day. It was 40 days later He ascended to the Father in Heaven.

Matthew 1:18–20John 1:1-14, 1 Peter 2:24, Acts 1:9-11

THE HOLY SPIRIT is the administrator for Jesus Christ in His churches.
The sign gifts ended when the Bible was completed.
The Spirit convicts sinners, regenerates, seals, secures, indwells and fills every believer.

Luke 24:491 Corinthians 12–14John 3:6, John 16:5-15, Romans 8:9–11

MAN was created in God’s image and fell through the choosing of sin (rebellion/disobedience to God). The result being that all are in need of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in order to enter into Heaven when they die.

Genesis 1:26, Genesis 3, John 3:16Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12, 19

THE SECOND COMING will be premillennial, personal and bodily. This includes the resurrection of the righteous, the millennial reign and the resurrection of the unrighteous into eternal punishment in the lake of fire.

1 Thessalonians 4:13–18, Revelation 20 & 21

SALVATION is achieved by grace through faith alone.
To be saved from Hell, man must repent (turn away) from sin and turn to God by believing and placing our faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Matthew 3:2, Mark 1:15, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Acts 20:21, Ephesians 2:8–10

THE CHURCH began in Christ’s earthly ministry and is a local, visible assembly of baptized believers. Each church is independent and self governing
and Christ promised perpetuity to His churches.

Matthew 16:18, Matthew 28:18–20, John 1:35–51

THE OFFICES of the Church are reserved for pastors and deacons. These positions are to be filled by qualified men.

1 Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:5-9

THE ORDINANCES of the Church are baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Corinthians 5:11–13, 1 Corinthians 11:1–26

ASSOCIATIONS are composed of like-minded churches coming together to win people to Christ. These associations believe that more can be accomplished through teamwork than by one church alone. They serve under the guidance of the churches.

Matthew 20:25–28

MARRIAGE is the union between a man and a woman.

Genesis 2:21-24, Matthew 19:4-6, I Corinthians 7:2-4

GENDER IDENTITY. We believe God designates each individual their gender. God ordained two genders, male and female. Mankind does not possess the authority to identify themselves differently than their biological sex assigned by God, and any attempt to alter one's gender is sin.

Genesis 1:27; 5:2; Matthew 19:4; Mark 10:6; Job 40:8; Jeremiah 13:23
